How does payment work?
All payments are to be made directly to Swaddle, either by credit card or via e-transfer. It is important to note that all payments must be made prior to the scheduled service in order to secure your booking. Once a submission form is received and a date, time, and Swaddler is organized, we will email you an invoice with all the specifics. In order to secure your slot and Swaddler, payment must be made within 24 hours of receiving the invoice and prior to the scheduled service.
Why do I need to pay in advance?
The reason we require payment beforehand is to guarantee our babysitters their pay as well as guarantee ourselves the service fee. In addition, it is to avoid the cases where people inquire and "book" but then never follow through. We often have to reject certain requests if a babysitter is already booked and it is unfortunate when after rejecting a request, the other booking falls through - so we are working to avoid that. In cases where you go past your scheduled time, we invoice you for the additional time afterwards. In cases where you have unused time beyond 30 minutes, it can be credited to your next booking.
What is your cancellation policy?
All bookings are creditable minus the service fee, up until 12 hours before the scheduled service. If a cancellation is made within 12 hours of the scheduled service, there is a cancellation fee of 50% plus the entire service fee. If a cancellation is made within 3 hours of the scheduled service, there is a 100% cancellation fee.
I’m worried about booking someone that I don’t know, can I talk to them before? What about a trial session?
We totally understand your skepticism, but we can assure you that all of our Swaddlers are top notch. In order to make you as comfortable as possible, prior to a booking, we offer you the possibility of phone or video call with the Swaddler. Regarding trial sessions, one option is to first book the Swaddler for a shorter amount of time to test the waters. You can choose to be home for this or not. All regular rates and fees still apply.
What is the vetting process for your Swaddlers?
All of our Swaddlers are CPR and First-Aid certified, have cleared background checks, and prior experienced in childcare! They must also go through a multi-step interview process which includes reference checks before getting hired.
Can I always receive the same Swaddler?
The simple answer is yes! Upon availability of course. We know that parents and children get comfortable with their Swaddler and like to stick to the same one. We encourage this! However, we do suggest getting to know two Swaddlers, as it’s possible that at times, one of them will not be available.
There are so many Swaddlers on your website! How do I know who to pick? Help!!
Scrolling through all of our Swaddlers can be overwhelming. We are happy to help select the perfect Swaddler for you! Based on the service you are looking for, your number of children, their ages, and your location, we can make suggestions of some Swaddlers that we think would be a good fit. Swaddle is here to find your child’s perfect match. Oftentimes it is love at first sight, but sometimes it takes more than one try, and that is totally normal!
